Shower invitation checklist

Below is a list of information that you may want to include on or along with the shower invitation.

• Name of the guest of honor
• Date and time of shower
• Name(s) of the hostess
• Name and address of the shower location
• RSVP phone number and email
• RSVP deadline
• Map for the shower location (optional)
• Name of the shower theme (if applicable)
• Special instructions for guests, such as wear your fanciest summer hat
• Gift registry information
• Other helpful information for gift buying, such as decorating colors from the couple's house, nursery decorating theme or color, sex of the baby, etc.

Invitations should be mailed 2-4 weeks in advance so that people can reserve the date for the shower. If there are many out of town guests on the invite list, you may want to mail the invitations a bit earlier, like 4-6 weeks in advance, so that those guests will be able to make travel arrangements if needed.
